The Liaison agency Flanders-Europe together with the SIRG regions organise a conference on health promotion and prevention. 

Good health lies at the heart of active ageing. As people live longer, and the population group over 65 years old keeps increasing, health promotion and disease prevention will benefit  both individuals and society at large. By staying in good health, people can work longer, live in their own homes, and keep up an active life of good quality. 

The Social Inclusion Regional Group is organizing a conference on Social Innovation and Independent Living.

The  2010  Social  Inclusion  Region  Group  (2010  SIRG)  was  established  in  2009  as  a  regional and local response to the 2010 European Year for Combatting Poverty and  Social Exclusion. In the annexe, you will find a report of the activities undertaken in 2010.

The Social Inclusion Regional Group, the Region Västra Götaland Public Health Committee and West Sweden would like to invite you and your colleagues to the conference on “Regional and local initiatives promoting healthy and active ageing".  This conference will be held on Tuesday 28 February 2012 from 09.30h until 13.00h at the Permanent Representation of Sweden to the EU, Square de Meeûs 30, Brussels.

The 2010 Social Inclusion Regional Group (2010 SIRG) was established in 2009 as a regional and local response to the 2010 European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion.
This event will launch the 2012 SIRG as a response to the 2012 European year on active ageing and intergenerational solidarity and as a way to proactively engage in European policy.

The 2010 SIRG is a transnational coalition of local and regional actors that has been working during the past year to respond proactively to the opportunities of the 2010 European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion.
