It's official: Open Days Partnership: 'Smart clusters for a new industrial revolution'

On the 5th of April, the European Commission and the Committee of the Regions confirmed 'Smart clusters for a new industrial revolution' as an official regional partnership in Open Days 2013.

Our regional partnership consists of Basque Country (ES), Eindhoven (NL), Extremadura (ES), Flanders (BE), Picardie (FR), Tampere Region (FI) and Vidzeme Planning Region (LV).

Proposal for Open Days Regional Partnership: 'Smart clusters for a new industrial revolution'

The Liaison agency Flanders-Europe (vleva) will apply for a Regional Partnership in the 11th European Week of Regions and Cities (OPEN DAYS) which takes place on 7-10 October 2013. 

The Open Days regional partnership ‘Smart clusters for a new industrial revolution’ highlights the Factory of the Future as key concept for a new industrial revolution with open innovation, innovation clusters and smart specialisation as driving forces, bringing together industry and knowledge institutions. 

On Tuesday, 29 January 2013, Mr. Axel Buyse, Government of Flanders Representative to the EU, will interview Mrs. Lucinda Creighton, the Irish Minister for European Affairs on the occasion of the Irish EU presidency that started on 1 January 2013.

The information and networking event takes place at 5 pm in The Counters (De Loketten), Flemish Parliament, IJzerenkruisstraat 99, 1000 Brussels and will be followed by a reception.
